Wow! The e-messages are pouring in…it is awesome. You guys send me so much good energy, you cannot imagine how much I appreciate it. Life out here on the road is a blast when we are on stage. But your letters help pass the long hours in hotel rooms, airports, and on the tour bus. Thanks! It is frustrating to me, as well as some of you, that I can’t respond to each of your messages. I need my fingers in strong order to play guitar, and they would be worn down to the bone if I tried to type letters back to everyone. I have been attempting to post some responses on the kevincronin.com site, but I’m finding that I may be hurting things more than helping. My free time is limited, with three young kids, a grown son, a wife, and a band, who all need my attention. Hey, I should be down in the gym right now, I need to keep up the lean, mean, rock’n roll machine vibe. I know…wah, wah, wah. I totally should not complain. I know I am a very fortunate guy to be making a living doing what I love to do, and I owe it all to you, our awesome fans. It’s just that every time I answer one person’s letter, there are a hundred other people who end up feeling left out when I don’t respond to theirs’. I’m between a rock band and a hard place! So I am choosing to suspend the “KC Responds” program for a while. I will continue to enjoy reading each and every one of your messages, so please don’t stop writing. Maybe when I get a little more caught up, I will try and resume the “Responds” feature some time down the road. Meanwhile, how ‘bout that Hallmark Cards TV spot? It cracks me up, the Holiday Inn commercial with “Take It On The Run” is pretty funny too. Who woulda thunk that the only time you would hear our music on TV would be in commercials. Whatever happened to “The Midnight Special”, or “Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert”? ;-) Okay, here is a secret for you…I will be appearing on a FOX TV show later this month, but I can’t disclose any info yet…although I am dying to tell you all about it…hey did anyone see the story on CBS News this morning about my son, Paris? I am so proud of him for his courage and honesty. (And that was him, as a baby, in the “Can’t Fight This Feeling” video). I hope his story can inspire others to make the kind of tough decisions which he has made, and perhaps save their lives. The MusiCares Foundation is a great organization, and he has helped bring awareness to the great work they do in helping artists and musicians who have fallen on hard times. Okay, it’s time for sound check here in Indiana. We are working on “Son of a Poor Man” this afternoon, and continuing to get ready to add “Building The Bridge” and “In Your Letter”. I am still trying out some “Good Trouble” songs on my acoustic guitar. And “Like You Do” should be ready in the near future. We are having fun. Can’t wait to see you guys on tour this year. Keep Pushin’, KC Thanks for understanding, my friends. |
